CONTRACT AWARD
Vittorio Grassi Architects is awarded Lot No. 2 of the Framework Contract for the Ministry of Defense.
Aiming to effectively and innovatively manage the complexity of the Tender Lot, the prestigious agreement sees VGA working in association with three other leading companies in their respective segments: Incide Engineering srl and Ai Engineering spa for engineering services and the geology company Studio Idrogeotecnico srl.

New sustainable and comfortable buildings represent an important step toward a more energy-efficient and autonomous national defense. They develop a new energy-oriented mindset and contribute to concrete goals of containing spending, protecting the environment and supporting military capabilities. Similarly, the adoption of new technologies that enhance security, for example, is a key tool in peacekeeping, conflict prevention and the promotion of international cooperation.
Taken as a whole, the four-year Framework Agreement calls for the awarding of a total of 27 professional services for engineering and architectural services, divided into 3 functional lots, to meet the specific needs of upgrading and modernizing the infrastructure of the Ministry of Defense.
The grouping of which VGA is a member, following the award of Lot No. 2, will specifically provide professional services related to architectural and engineering services for design in all its phases, for safety and for geognostic, geological, and archaeological surveys, investigations and surveys.
The total amount of the entrusted works will be about 190 million euros and consists of 9 main projects. Among them, the grouping will carry out the 4 of greatest importance over the next 4 years, including: the rehabilitation of the De Gennaro barracks in Forlì (FC) as part of the Caserme Verdi project andthe seismic improvement and functional upgrading of the European Military School “Grande Nunziatella” in Naples.
