Disclosure and acquisition of consent for the use of cookies on the web portal www.vittoriograssi.it in accordance with Provision No. 229 of May 8, 2014 of the Personal Data Protection Authority.

What are cookies?

The following is the definition contained in point 1 of the preamble to the Guarantor’s Order mentioned above:

Preliminary Considerations. Cookies are small text strings that sites visited by the user send to the user’s terminal (usually the browser),
where they are stored for later retransmission to the same sites on the next visit by the same user.
In the course of browsing a site, the user may also receive cookies on his terminal that are sent from different sites or web servers (so-called “third parties”),
on which may reside certain elements (such as, for example, images, maps, sounds, specific links to pages of other domains) present on the site that the same is visiting.

Technical cookies.

Technical cookies are those used for the sole purpose of “carrying out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network.
or to the extent strictly necessary for the provider of an information society service explicitly requested by the subscriber or user to provide that service” (see Article 122(1) of the Code).
They are not used for any further purposes and are normally installed directly by the owner or operator of the website.
They can be divided into browsing or session cookies, which ensure normal navigation and use of the website (allowing, for example, to make a purchase or authenticate to access restricted areas);
analytics cookies, assimilated to technical cookies where used directly by the site operator to collect information, in aggregate form, on the number of users and how they visit the site;
Functionality cookies, which allow the user to navigate according to a set of selected criteria (e.g., language, products selected for purchase) in order to improve the service rendered to the user.

The installation of such cookies does not require the prior consent of users, while the obligation to give information pursuant to Articles 13 and 14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 remains in place,
which the operator of the site may provide in the manner it deems most appropriate.

No use is made of cookies for the transmission of information of a personal nature.
The use of so-called session cookies (which are not stored persistently on the user’s computer and disappear when the browser is closed) is strictly limited to the transmission of identifiers
of session (consisting of random numbers generated by the server) necessary to enable the safe and efficient exploration of the site.
