Equity

At VGA we understand that the actions of our staff, beyond the design that we create, can have a real impact on our local surroundings.

We have taken significant measures to ensure that all our team members understand that social responsibility including sustainability, equality, and diversity is a fundamental part of our studio and daily life.
We make sure that every team member feels valued and empowered to reach their full potential. We are proud to foster a welcoming, friendly, and inclusive environment where all employees are treated with respect and have equal opportunities to thrive and advance.

In addition to the tutoring provided during the training periods required for architecture internships, we also offer private and confidential mentoring available to all employees, regardless of seniority. This allows office members to receive support and guidance outside their immediate project environment. Participation in these activities is always led by senior staff, including associates who serve as role models for all team members, demonstrating commitment to this initiative.
We also ensure that we attract the widest possible range of candidates and avoid hiring solely through personal recommendations, in order to build a diverse staff. All positions are publicly advertised, reflecting our commitment to equal employment opportunities.

We recognize the high cost of education and support alternative pathways into practice, offering employment to those pursuing part-time degrees and welcoming apprentices.
Beyond our internal initiatives, we continuously engage with external organizations to extend the reach of our activities and provide our staff with opportunities to participate in outreach programs.
We also host Italian and international students with diverse work experiences who are interested in architecture. This is incredibly rewarding, as we witness students being exposed to the dynamics of a professional team and gradually becoming more confident in interacting within a professional environment.
