Unveiled during Milan Design Week 2026 at the Verum showroom in Milan, Bik is the door handle designed by Vittorio Grassi for the Nuda collection, a design project that interprets the door handle as an essential element of architecture.
The project stems from a subtractive approach, eliminating every superfluous component to allow a pure form to emerge—one that integrates naturally with the door and the space. With no visible rosette or plate, Bik becomes a discreet yet bold element, where function, proportion, and precision of construction merge into a single design gesture.
The cylindrical handle is integrated directly into the door panel, striking a balance between sturdiness and lightness and creating a contemporary, clean, and timeless look. Designed for both the contract and residential sectors, Bik harmonizes with various architectural styles while always maintaining a strong formal identity.
“When designing Bik, I wanted to remove everything that wasn’t necessary. The door didn’t need an added element, but rather a clear statement. The cylinder is a universal shape, but it is above all its proportions that transform it into a design. Consistent with the architectural approach that characterizes my work, every detail arises from the balance between function, form, and context. In Bik, simplicity and precision become beauty.” Vittorio Grassi
