The anonymous competition for the design of the new multifunctional facility of the Conservatory of Music in Milan attracted over 30 international teams of architects, confirming the strong interest in this project of cultural and urban significance.
The building’s façade is articulated through overlapping levels, visually recalling the lines of an architectural musical staff, symbolizing the connection between music, architecture, and built space.
The three large parallelepipeds that compose the volume are conceived as a large social container, where all functions—while provided with distinct main entrances—are unified within a single iconic building.

Our concept maximizes the value of the surrounding public park landscape and integrates multiple functions within a powerful and recognizable building: a restaurant, music school, offices, an auditorium, and student residences.

The architecture is designed to ensure coherence, functionality, and a unique spatial experience, making the complex a reference point for urban design and institutional architecture.

Particular attention has also been devoted to sustainability and efficiency: the project minimizes energy consumption by adopting passive strategies and innovative systems to optimize resource use and meet the most advanced environmental standards.

The result is a masterplan that combines aesthetics, functionality, and innovation, representing an emblematic example of architectural masterplanning for cultural and educational buildings in complex urban contexts.
