The redevelopment project aims to enhance the strengths of the Marina, reinforcing it as a strategic, attractive, and functional hub not only for owners and crews, but also for residents and tourists. The objective is to transform the Marina into a vibrant, open, and accessible place, capable of fully integrating with the surrounding urban fabric, in line with the principles of urban regeneration.
Three key words guide the intervention: “re-connect” with the city, to make the Marina a place to visit and experience; “re-imagine,” to rethink existing spaces and buildings and create memorable environments; and “re-design,” to replan the context in a sustainable and innovative way, following the best practices of territorial planning.
The intervention plan includes the restoration and enhancement of the central pier structures, which will continue to host prestigious events in completely renovated spaces. The Central Belvedere will be enriched with new environments dedicated to maxiyacht owners and crews, including an elegant bar area, a modern gym/SPA, and a panoramic restaurant with a top-floor terrace.
The New Service Center area will be redesigned with a high-impact contemporary architectural language, becoming a stimulating and lively space with new areas dedicated to business and social interaction. The Marina reception and related management spaces will also be completely renewed, as will Molo Francheville, which will benefit from a restyling of the commercial arcade to make it more attractive and functional.
The interior design combines the elegance and standards of UNA Hotels with themes linked to the nautical world, creating unique environments consistent with the Marina’s identity. The project has been developed by renowned competition-winning architects and by an urban planning firm, following an integrated architectural masterplan that ensures the aesthetic and functional coherence of the entire context.
This redevelopment represents a model of hospitality architecture and institutional building architecture, capable of combining innovation, sustainability, and prestige, and positions itself as a potential candidate for architecture awards for the quality of its design and its attention to urban usability. The Marina, thus transformed, becomes an international reference point for sustainable development and the enhancement of public and private spaces in complex urban contexts.
