On May 22, the official presentation of the winning project of the competition announced by theState Property Agency for the regeneration of theformer Pavia Arsenal area was held in Pavia at 40 Rivera Street.
The winning project is by the grouping consisting of Artelia Italia, Vittorio Grassi Architects, Parcnouveau, F&M Ingegneria SpA and ICONIA Ingegneria Civile.
A great time of discussion and shared vision, with keynote speeches including:
– The Mayor of Pavia, Michele Lissia
– The RUP, ciro iovino
– The designer of the grouping, Vittorio Grassi
The project, which covers an area of more than 140,000 square meters along the Ticino River, combines contemporary architecture, landscape and infrastructure in an integrated and sustainable design. A shared vision that focuses on water as an identity element, the historical memory of the place and the creation of dynamic and inclusive public spaces.
The Navigliaccio canal, today hidden and inaccessible, will become a new linear park capable of connecting the urban fabric with nature, redefining the relationship between city and river.
The new architecture will coexist with the recovered historic buildings, creating an innovative and sustainable urban hub that responds to the needs of the community and the city.
